Biography / History

"The Sunset of Bon Echo" was a publication produced by members of the Whitman Club of Bon Echo, a club founded by Flora MacDonald for the purpose of honouring Walt Whitman. MacDonald was also editor of "The Sunset of Bon Echo," the publication including poems, fictitious stories, articles, quotations, and photographs and covering topics relating to Walt Whitman, women, Bon Echo, and the club's activities.

This fonds consists of 6 volumes of "Sunset of Bon Echo" bound into one copy, as well as one additional copy unbound, which were published by Flora Macdonald Denison in honour of Walt Whitman.
