Haileybury Cemetery fonds. -- 1975.-- 7.5 cm of textual records.

Biography / History

The Haileybury Cemetery is located north ofMills Creek, Ontario, approximately .40 km south of CentennialPark and approximately .40 km east of Mount Pleasant Cemetery.The Haileybury Cemetery was run by a private company and was inoperation until 1922. The cemetery is believed to be one of thefirst organized cemteries in that part of northern Ontario.

Custodial History

This fonds was in the custody of Don Huffs,who helped with the project in Haileybury, until it was donatedto the Trent University Archives.

Scope and Content

This fonds consists of typed 7.5 X 13 cm cardswith information copied from cemetery headstones in the Haileyburycemetery. This was an Ontario Federation for Youth project organizedin 1975.
