Marlow Banks fonds. -- 1962-1980. -- 70 cm of textual records. -- 62 prints.

Biography / History

Marlow Banks is a resident of Peterborough, Ontario and was the owner of the Banks Bicycle Store. He is a hockey fan, and more specifically, a fan of the Peterborough Petes hockey team. Mr. Banks used to sponsor the "Banks Bicycle Store Trophy" which was awarded annually to the Petes regular season scoring champion.

Custodial History

This fonds was created by and in the custody of Marlow Banks until the fonds was donated to the Trent University Archives.

Scope and Content

This fonds consists of official programs, player statistics, schedules, and prints of photographs of the Peterborough Petes, Ontario Hockey Association Major Junior "A" Hockey Club which were collected by Marlow Banks. The fonds also contains correspondence to and from Marlow Banks in reference to the sport of hockey, hockey programs, and hocky magazines.


Title based on the creator of the fonds.

The items referred to as photographs in the finding aid are actually prints of photographs of the Peterborough Petes team members.
