Conference Date: Thursday, February 19, 2025
Held biennially, the Kawartha Teaching and Technology Conference brings together faculty, students, educational developers, IT professionals and administrative staff where participants can network, share needs and ideas, and jointly discover opportunities, solutions and new approaches applicable to today’s teaching and learning environment.
This year's conference theme is:
Pedagogy without Borders: New Frontiers of Teaching and Technology
Call for Proposals:
Since the 2023 KTT conference, new educational technologies and the advent of generative artificial intelligence (AI) have radically transformed higher education. Both faculty and students are consistently adapting their teaching and learning to the challenges and opportunities created by these technologies. This conference invites faculty, staff, and others to share how they are re-imagining teaching and learning in ways that shift our pedagogical borders, and think creatively about the new frontiers we are facing together in teaching and technology. What technologies are you using in your teaching? What are the opportunities these technologies afford you as an instructor? How do they impact student learning? How are you currently navigating challenges in your teaching and learning?
Presenters are welcome to submit proposals for one of two conference tracks: one focused specifically on AI and another on other contemporary issues related to educational technologies.
Format: The conference will be delivered virtually. All conference elements including the student panel, keynote talk, and conference presentations will be held over Zoom. We will be announcing the location of optional in-person watch parties soon.
You can submit your proposal here! Proposals will be accepted until January 3rd 2025. If you are unable to create a Sched account, you can reach out for help over email to terrygreene@trentu.ca
