Aaniin! She:kon! Tawnishi! Greetings!
Welcome to the Bachelor of Arts and Science Program, a unique home for interdisciplinary thought and transformative purpose at Trent University, on the territory and treaty of the Michi Saagig Nishnaabeg. My name is Jessica Marion Barr (she/her), and I am the Program Coordinator as well as a professor in the BAS Program. I am an ecologically-focused artist, interdisciplinary researcher, and mother (see more about me and our other BAS faculty here).
Born from a dream shared by faculty who wanted to explore and encourage interdisciplinary research and teaching at the intersections of arts and sciences, our small-but-mighty program is now entering its 13th year! We have grown a lot during this time, and in addition to our core degree program, we now also offer Co-op and Medical Science dual degree options. We encourage you to explore our wonder-filled courses and customizable degree options.
Please feel free to reach out to me or our amazing Academic Administrative Assistant Christine Quigley with any questions, or just to say hello -- in the words of the late Dr. David Ellis, ask me anything!
