In Trent's Cultural Studies MA program, you will study how to critique and create culture. In addition to studying the theoretical and political foundations of the ways we think, believe, and feel, you will create your own thesis or major research paper project to pursue avenues of inquiry that inspire (and challenge) you.
Working with your fellow students and professors as part of a close-knit community, you will be asked to re-examine and re-invent the ways we engage and enjoy culture. You have a one-year option (Major Research Paper) and a two-year option (Thesis). In both options, you may write a traditional scholarly project, or pursue research-creation, in which your project will include a major creative or artistic dimension.
