2 Electric Charging Stations on Campus.
We have 2 EV charging stations located on the Symons Campus, Peterborough. They are located in Lot K near LEC on the West Bank and Lot Z behind the DNA building. The hourly rate for charging is $1.50 and you will need to have a Trent parking permit as well.
How to use the EV charging stations.
1. Download the ChargePoint app on your iPhone or Android.
2. Create an account.
Once an account is created you are all set to start charging.

Carpooling is a great way to take the bite out of high gas prices, get you the best value for your parking permit, and ease the strain on Trent's limited parking resources. One member of your carpool must register online as the permit holder. You can then register all vehicles participating in the pool and select the appropriate permit. For staff and faculty, all members of a particular carpool can use their flex dollars towards the total cost of the permit. You should advise your automobile insurance carrier if you intend to carpool as it may constitute a material change to your coverage.
If your carpool has three or more members, you will be entitled to a special Carpool permit that allows you to park in any of the "Carpool Only" spaces on campus. You will also receive one free daily permit per semester in the event you must bring a second car onto campus to attend to personal or business-related matters.

Trails to Trent
Three cycling trails can be used to get to Trent.
1. The Rotary Greenway Trail
This trail starts in East city (near downtown Peterborough) and travels north to Trent University. Total Length: 8 km
2. The Lakefield Rotary Greenway Trail
This is an extension of the main Rotary Greenway Trail, which travels from Trent University to Lakefield. Total Length: 10 km
3. Parkway Trail
Travel between Jackson Park and the Peterborough Zoo then along a shared pedestrian/bike trail to Trent University. Total Length: 4.2 km

Taking transit is about ten times cheaper than operating a car and it’s a good choice for environmental reasons too.
All full-time Peterborough Undergraduate students (excluding School of Education students) receive a City of Peterborough Transit Pass, valid from September to August. All other students can purchase a Transit Pass at a discounted rate from the Campus Card Office located in Blackburn Hall, room 104.
Staff & Faculty are eligible to purchase a bus pass from the Campus Card Office located in Blackburn Hall, room 104. Where applicable staff can use their flex benefits to purchase a bus pass.
