Trent University's Access/Privacy Office
Trent University undertakes to provide both the University community and the public with broad access to general University records, while protecting the personal information of individuals.
The Access/Privacy office is responsible for the day-to-day administration of freedom of information and privacy legislation that applies to the University. These statutes include the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) as well as the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) to the extent that these apply to University operations.
This site provides basic information on how Trent University protects personal information, links to the legislation and related University policies, and guidance on how to request records held by the University.
