Alumni & Community Member Services
The Trent University Library offers borrowing privileges to Trent Alumni at both our Bata and Durham Library locations.
Library Card
After graduation, visit the Library Service Desk at either Trent Library location to get your library card. Alumni borrowing privileges are valid for two years and can be renewed.
Borrowing: Physical Books & Journals
- Borrow up to 25 regular books for 14 days.
- Online renewal up to 60 days.
- Recall and fine policies apply.
- Replacement charges apply to lost items.
Current Periodicals
- Borrow for 2 days; no renewals.
- Maximum of 10 issues at a time.
- Overdue fines and replacement charges apply.
Online Collections
- A selection of our licensed online resources are available to Alumni. These can be viewed on our Find a Database list.
Archival Collections
- Enjoy the same privileges as current students in the Archives.
Community members are invited to register for a free Trent Library card at either campus library. Services include accessing our physical collection, the Archives, general collection assistance, and microform reading equipment.

- Most online resources are not available to community members. Use Databases A-Z to find licensed resources available to the public. A grey open-lock icon indicates free/public resources.
