Celebration of Life for Student Laura Withrow
Trent community invited to memorial service at Bark Lake on June 3
The family of Laura Withrow, a Trent student who passed away in November after her battle with cancer, is inviting members of the Trent community who knew their daughter to attend a celebration of life and memorial service at Bark Lake on June 3.
The memorial service will take place at Bark Lake Leadership Centre on Sunday, June 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Following a welcome at 2:00 p.m., a reception will be held featuring musicians, Ryan and Sam Weber. Bark Lake Leadership Centre has dedicated a path to Ms. Withrow and named it the “Lady Trail.”
Guests interested in attending are invited to RSVP to Stephen or Christine Withrow by Monday, May 21 at swswithrow@gmail.com or echristinewithrow@gmail.com.
For those unable to attend, and who may be interested in leaving a donation in Laura’s memory, her family has created a bursary fund at Trent. For more information about donations, contact Allison Grierson, donation coordinator.
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to Ms. Withrow’s family and friends, and to all who knew her. At the June 8 Convocation ceremonies, Ms. Withrow will be posthumously granted her Trent degree.
