Opportunity for U.S. Colleagues! – Fulbright Canada U.S. Scholar Awards
Fulbright Canada Scholar Awards provide the opportunity for outstanding American scholars to lecture and/or conduct research in Canada in the 2025-2026 academic year. Award recipients include prominent and promising scholars, as well as experienced professionals. Awards span from 4 months to a full academic year, with funding ranging from US$25,000 to US$50,000.
American scholars can apply for Traditional Scholar Awards or Fulbright-Carlos Rico Awards to be hosted at any institution in Canada. Scholars can choose to apply to predetermined affiliations through Postdoctoral Research Awards, Distinguished Research Chair Awards, and, along with professionals and artists, Research Chair Awards.

Office of Research & Innovation hosted SSHRC Information Sessions
The Office of Research and Innovation will be offering information sessions for the various SSHRC competitions throughout the summer. All sessions will be hybrid, room is to be determined. To register, contact Breanne Whitwell. For detailed information about each session, refer to the ORI website.
Insight Grant Sessions
These sessions will provide an overview of the SSHRC Insight Grant program. For more information on the Insight Grant, refer here.

Reminders
Digital Research Alliance of Canada Researcher Council – Applications due June 5th!
A reminder that The Digital Research Alliance of Canada is accepting applications and nominations until June 5th for researchers to sit on their Researcher Council. The term will commence on October 1st 2024 and run for up to three years.

NSERC Discovery Horizons – Letters of Intent due June 14th!
A reminder that letters of Intent are being accepted by NSERC for the Discovery Horizons program until June 14th. This program supports Discovery research projects that aim to answer natural sciences and engineering (NSE) research questions that are best addressed through interdisciplinary approaches and advance NSE disciplines through new ways of thinking about research questions, approaches, and methods. Individuals cannot hold both a Discovery Grant and Discovery Horizons grant.
Letters of Intent are due by June 14.
Full applications are due by October 18.

Large Research Grants on Education - Spencer Foundation – Proposals due June 18th!
A reminder that full proposals are due to the Spencer Foundation for the Large Research Grants on Education competition by June 18th. These grants support education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived, with budgets ranging from $125,000 to $500,000 USD for projects ranging from one to five years.
