Trent University has been one of the top universities in Ontario for Scholarships and Bursaries for more than 20 years.
Trent's full and diverse scholarship program is designed to foster and reward academic excellence among our students. Scholarships are merit-based financial awards, typically awarded on the basis of academic excellence or a combination of academic achievement, leadership and community involvement. Scholarships are used towards the payment of tuition and fees and recipients do not repay the award.
Scholarships & Your OSAP Application
Please note: All In-course, Entrance, and Renewable scholarships awarded by Trent University will be reported to OSAP. Please do not include this information when applying for OSAP as it will be reported twice and may reduce your overall funding amount. If you have reported your scholarship to OSAP in error, please let the Financial Aid office know by completing an OSAP Change of Information form on the myTrent portal.
Bursaries
Bursaries are awarded each term to students with demonstrated financial need. To demonstrate financial need, students must be in receipt of OSAP, Canada part time student loans, First Nations band funding, or the government financial aid program of their home province. Bursaries are designed to supplement funding from other sources.
